Lauren Tapscott is a recent graduate from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and a minor in Sociology. She has accepted a position at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, where she will begin her career as a pediatric nurse providing compassionate and patient-centered care.

During her time at UF, Lauren was able to explore her passion for advocacy and inclusion - values she holds near and dear to her heart. She was a proud member of the Black Student Union, serving as Alumni Liaison, strengthening the foundation of the community and cultivating meaningful connections through intentional outreach.

As a NextGen Advisor, Lauren brings a unique perspective at the intersection of community, leadership, and healthcare. Her passion for people and dedication to the community will serve her well in this role, allowing her to advocate for students at the University of Florida and beyond. She is excited about continuing to pour into her community, and looks forward to her contributions to Ancestor’s Dream Initiative.
